Deontay Wilder needs to bring back Mark Breland

He hasn’t looked good since the split, he just continuously looks worse and worse every time out.

The man who tried to take the wind out of wilders sails by poisoning him?

Like George Foreman in 74', Wilder spun all kinds of wild stories after tasting defeat for the first time, after being widely thought of as invincible after 40 some-odd wins, nearly all by KO. But in both cases, they'd lost to legends.
If there was a difference, it was that Wilder finished on his feat.
But his protests were violent at the fight being stopped, and he was a warrior who wanted to go out on his shield, as ALL the greats would prefer.

That, in sharp contrast to Co-claimant Joshua, who simply acquiesced when he suffered HIS first loss. The ref looked at him carefully, and Josh had nothing but quit in him; leading the ref to rule the stoppage, marking the primary difference between the two fighters, and the thing that leads many to beleive that had they fought in their respective prime, Wilder's higher level of courage would have made the difference.

He could bring the ghost of Sugar Ray Robinson in - it wouldn't matter. It's over. His chin is cracked.

              Wilder is simply limited.

He stepped up a level and got found out.

Its his feet mainly. He can't position himself to find the shots. He's got away with it with poorer opposition because they make mistakes.

Now he has no confidence in his chin either, so he hesitates to commit too.

If he was younger, maybe a coach could work on his with his movement and positioning, but it's a little late now, and Breland certainly didn't help it with it anyway.

Breland seems like a good guy. If Wilder would swallow his pride and try to mend fences I bet he would forgive and forget.

Might be too late, though, as age and wear and tear are setting in for the Bronze Bomber.
