What was the result to the Byrd fight , please show us to for the 10th time. And while you are at it please explain to me why SRR, Greb, and Duran all quit in fights but only Vitali seems to be mentioned by you. Post your list of 21-30 fighters who in your opinion had a better resume here so we can read it.

Carnera was used and abused I think it would be very unkind to blame him for allowing himself to be dressed in blackshirt uniform and be seen giving the ******* salute, the majority of Italians were certainly in favour of Mussolini early on as were the Germans with Hitler.
The fact that he was nominally a ******* would be in his favour as far as that POS McCarthy was concerned,I would imagine.
Factoid = Unverified and in many cases highly unlikely. My generous definition.
The real definition.
Factoid
False claim that is repeated so often that it becomes accepted as fact or common knowledge
A factoid is either an invented or assumed statement presented as a fact, or a true but brief or trivial item of news or information. The term was coined in 1973 by American writer Norman Mailer to mean a piece of information that becomes accepted as a fact even though it is not actually true, or an invented fact believed to be true because it appears in print.
I know what a factoid is, even down to the whole Mailer thing . . . What I don't get is how Boxrec defines the word.
Boxrec places under the title factiod the following:- Appeared in several movies: Carnera's IMDb
We both have seen the damn films.
Should I now question if Carnera had his kidney removed? -- Really should I, because Boxrec is calling that a factoid and then gives the dates of thr surgery. What the hell is that all about?
It seems to me Boxrec does not understand the definition of the word factoid.
So as it stands now Boxrec sees as much validity in Carnera being wounded fighting **** as they believe he acted in Hollywood films. That makes no sense.
The latter is a FACT, so should I take the former as fact too?
P.S. Other than Boxrec I can't find any evidence of Carnera fighting with the partisans.Last edited by Willie Pep 229; 03-14-2023, 10:07 AM.

So in Boxrec's mind, what hell is a 'factoid'?
P.S. The fact that he received dual citizenship in 1953 at the height of the McCarthy Red Scare and Xenophobia, suggests to me that the United States didn't see much wrong in his Mussolini/*******/Black Shirt adventures.
I think those above who labeled him a stooge got it right.
