I expect him to show a bit more aggression, but at that age you're more or less set in your ways. Wlad's been fighting the same way for years; you don't suddenly change that overnight. Even if he made a conscious decision to be more aggressive, his every instinct will be telling him to hold back, to wait for openings, to throw that perfect punch. To go against those instincts in a live fight environment against a world class fighter is a dangerous tactic indeed.

Wlad might find himself mentally in two minds, both sides urging him to do the exact opposite. When you're not acting on instinct (or rather the instinctive responses honed from years of training) your responses are going to be that much slower, you're going to start overthinking and second guessing yourself, you're going to put yourself in vulnerable positions that you might not even be aware of because you're running blind.

Wlad might well have some more success in the opening rounds, but he's leaving himself vulnerable for a devastating stoppage later in the fight. Fury is a born brawler and will have no problems handling whatever Wlad throws at him. That's his world. Unfortunately for Wlad boxing has become Fury's world as well.

I'd pick Fury to beat all those guys. Rahman was shot to hell when Wlad beat him, don't know why you even mentioned him. Brock was **** on average, Chagaev, Chambers and Ibragimov were all too small for their speed to overcome his significant physical advantages. Peter was a walking punchbag who'd get done the business same way as Chisora. Byrd might have given him a fight, though again I think the size and reach advantages would have been too much. Jennings and Povetkin could give it a go, though I'd pick Fury to outpoint both men. Haye gets flattened now, and I reckon he'd have got done back then as well, though obviously we'll never know now.

The only fighter on Wlad's resume that I think gives him a real fight is Pulev. He's got size and strength, a vicious jab, and isn't afraid to come forward. Against Wlad this proved his downfall, but against the lighter punching Fury he might be able to have more success. It's a fight I'd like to see.

Again, we will get some bs "you should know where those openings are".... or some such bs.

You are a fraud Elroid, and you have no underdstanding what so ever, on a technical/ analytical level about any percieved openings that were present via fury.
Nice bait.. But instead of spending 36minutes writing down times and examples just for you, I'm going to offer you EXACTLY the same as you offered me..

It's all there... LOOK AT IT!

There IS a fraud here.. But it certainly is not me!

          TIMBERRRRRR!
I couldn't see the date on your post so I guess it was either made before the fight (oh dear!) or after the fight (sorry you missed it but the result was a UD win for Tyson Fury.)
But I agree about Hayden Panettiere, she could paralyse Fury or any of us. Pleeease )))

A shot Rahman would be Fury's top 2 opponents......Fury would be a top guy for Wlad for sure in any year...we just don't know where?Since he hasn't fought the top guys outside of Wlad. No I don't consider Chisora a top 3,and actually put Wach over him.

The Rahman Wlad fought who was a completely out of shape, shot to bits, short notice replacement shouldn't have even been given a licence to fight. He had to weigh in on the scales fully clothed to hide his blubber. What's worse, Wlad still fought tentative and scared against him.
The Cunningham and Chisora wins are a few notches above that farce of a so called world title fight.

Rahman was extremely hard hitting...you as a Lennox fan are only discredit him...Rahman at any point shows more skill than anyone Fury fought really.

cunninham is a good win however again the size comparison comes into play...I don't particularly put Adaemak on Rahamns level really either..he has TWO wins on cunninham.Fighting scared is called boxing ......you cant pick and choose who fights scared or smart ...if that's the case it goes for everyone..i could pin point several Lewis fights if that's whats called fighting scared if you want to go that route.

Don't be an idiot about Rahman. He was shot, like Danny Williams shot when Wlad fought him. Chisora, Cunningham and even Hammer would have smashed him up.

What's with this rampant rubbishing of Fury's opponents anyway? We all know his resume's thin after Wlad but it's not that thin. Wach over Chisora? In what universe?

No it doesn't discredit him in any way. Rahman in his prime was a decent contender, not the walking corpse that was handpicked out of the abyss to pad Wlad's record. Rahman physically could do nothing more than lay with his back to the ropes, occasionally pushing out a weak jab. Any great would have blown him out early doors. Instead Wlad cautiously measured Rahman, draping himself over his back whenever he got too close for comfort. Steward had to bark at Wlad to be more assertive in the fight.. Rahman should have been the one holding on for dear life, not Wlad. The fact that you see that fight representing a model form of boxing is a sad commentary. Lewis for his part never showed such cowardly apprehension against such a weak level of opponent.
