Ruby Robert in the modern era at Light-Heavyweight.

Born in this age, with modern training, technique and nutrition.

Given his phenomenal power I think he could be devastating.

    What do others think?

    He'd be undisputed champion today.

Was Bob actually a hard hitter or did he pioneer leverage?

Legit asking, I've been told both before but never got in the weeds on that one myself.

We have no way of knowing, what a Fitzsimmons born into this era would look like!

He was a standout in his own era - why can't we just admire him for that? Why this urge to dream up a completely different fighter - so we can all fantasize, about how he would school today's LHWs? Very strange!

          All fantasy fights/scenarious are speculation.

They are just an entrertaining thought experiment.

          Nothing strange about it.

            - - Fitz mentored a whole host of era fighters, the best being Joe Gans.

Can you imagine Fitz using modern weight training and l'l floyd TBE TUE Vitamins?

              All we ever do anymore!

I really don't care for fantasy fights but that's all history fans really want to talk about. Sometimes you learn things from the arguments that come up so I like to participate but it's really hard and I'm really reaching for something to say.

Not talking **** Anomalocaris , you're cool man and for a fantasy boxing thread it is an interesting one. Also, I'm on BF24 every now and then and I know how much they love fantasy boxing and how normalized speaking to hypotheticals is over there so, ya know, I get that to you it might be weird that we find it weird. Bundy's reaction to this thread is very similar to my reaction to that forum. I'm not saying you come from there either, I dunno, just saying different communities have different normals.

Basically, y'all be patient and play nice. You're both top posters.

Fitz was a unique guy. Deadly power, cunning and sharp witted in the ring. Too bad the division was created in his old age. He beat Gardner at 40 and Jack O'brien at age 41

So how would he do today? Likey a champion at 175, though his power would be a tiny bit less becasue those old time 4-6 ounces gloves are puncher's gloves. Having a mouth piece would add a little to his durability. They say Fitz had whip like hand speed.
