The title says it all. This guy is worth a follow on X.

    - - I've seen just about every Monzon fight recorded, and indeed he is impressive in how unimpressive his style is, yet ranked fighters end up keeling over and otherwise mysteriously get whooped. I call it "The Keep It Simple, ******," ie The KISS philosophy.

Not interested in X though, nor face book, but thanks for the thought.

Monzon knew how to fight tall but could brawl in the trenches too. Great at controlling range. Not real fast, not real slow. B- for speed. Teeing off even with one arm tied up. Copious borderline rabbit puncher a la Fullmer. Throws a good shot. Never saw him have to take a beauty. Punches he did take seemed not to affect him much. If I could see only one mythical fight it would be Hagler/Monzon.

        - - 4 year overlap as Monzon was aging into retirement. Marv as up and comer had several setbacks including one after Monzon retired.
