    Four kings, four rivals

We all know the four Kings, Hagler, Leonard, Duran and Hearns. Who are some other fearsome foursomes that have fought one another and rank highly all time?

My first grouping starts with Tony Canzoneri, Jimmy McClarnin, Barney Ross and Lou Amber's. How do these guys and their rivalries with one another compare to the four Kings?

    I'll do an obscure one;

    Ezzard Charles
    Archie Moore
    Harold Johnson
    Jimmy Bivins

Great one!! Johnson and Bivins are underappreciated in my opinion.

        Absolutely.

Harold Johnson especially, who beat both Moore and Charles the #1 and #2 LHW ATG's, amongst many other great wins.

Bivins lost to all of the above, but put up some great fights though by all accounts. Infact no he did beat Archie Moore one time I think.

Much of the stuff I've learned about Johnson has come on these forums from you. It's very obvious you're a big fan and you do him a great service by educating others about him.

I cheated, I went back to the 1920s, but I found a 'fiver.'

              Johnny Dundee (84-31-20)
              Rocky Kansas (64-12-5)
              Benny Leonard (90-6-1)
              Charley White (87-16-5)
              Freddie Welsh (74--5-7)

                  Choynski
                  Corbett
                  Fitzsimmons
                  Jeffries
                  T. Sharkey

The old guys lend themselves to this challenge.

Got to be a Joe Louis match lurking about.
