Seeking Insights on Spiritual Awakening Experiences

    Hi everyone,

I’ve recently started exploring the concept of a spiritual awakening and am curious about how others have experienced it. For those who have gone through a , how did it affect your daily life and relationships? Were there any particular practices or moments that triggered this shift?

I’m especially interested in understanding the challenges and benefits that come with such a profound transformation. Any advice on how to navigate this journey or recommended resources would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to hearing your personal stories and insights on spiritual awakening!

    Thanks in advance.

I’ve found that a spiritual awakening often brings a deeper awareness of yourself and others, changing how you relate daily and emotionally. For me, moments of stillness and mindfulness triggered this shift. Along the journey, balancing your inner growth with everyday life can be challenging but rewarding.

You got your spirit and you got your ego.

Ego is important as it’s your individuality, but spirituality puts you in harmony with the universe.

I found my spiritual awakening through the red road native Americans travel, and as Lakota say, Mitakuye Oyasin - we are all related.

You connect with the elements, the earth and all it’s inhabitants, not just human.

Spirituality is not external, it’s internal. When you start to go inward and show respect, gratitude and love for all living and dead, it brings if nothing else a peace and strength that can only be accomplished through the work.

the work is sacrificing all which is toxic such as habits, vices, relationships. The work is genuinely improving as a human that’s respectful and grateful.

ego sees the glass half empty, focusing on what they don’t have. Spirit sees the glass half full giving thanks for all they have. True happiness can only be found through spirituality because ego is insatiable and never satisfied. It’s good in competitive cultures like the US but also explains why most of the population is miserable and obsessed with mental health.

the cure for mental health is getting out of your mental and focusing on your heart and love.

it’s just hard work and sacrifice.

I got a Malofie; a Pasifikan stick n bone tattoo that covers a whole lot of body.

It almost killed me but i reckon i was saved by the ancestors. Their spirit runs through me and i have a duty to continue upholding their values and traditions.

Been looking into Western magickal traditions too through Thelema while being a practising Taoist and doing TaiChi.

Right on. I had to look up both Malofie and Thelema but glad you brought it up.

It hit me during burnout, started meditating and everything shifted. I lost interest in old habits, some friendships faded. Not fun, but needed. Nature, journaling, and Eckhart Tolle helped. Waking Up app is solid too.

I began feeling more present and connected during my own spiritual awakening, which deeply shifted how I saw people and daily routines.

Hey there! Thanks for opening up this beautiful topic.
I went through a spiritual awakening a couple of years ago, and it really changed how I see myself and others. Relationships became more intentional—some grew stronger, others naturally faded. Meditation and journaling were key practices that helped me ground myself.

One challenge was feeling disconnected at first, like I didn’t "fit in" anymore—but over time, that turned into a deeper sense of purpose. Trusting the process is important.
