Literally beat only one good opponent in a green SRL and thats only because he decided to brawl with Duran, and Duran still almost lost
He got absouletly humiliated by Thomas Hearns who was chinny and gets praised for beating a novice, C level fighter in Davey Moore and a guy whos lost like 10 times in Iran Barkley.
Yet people actually call this bum an "ATG", he fought cab drivers as a lightweight and the first decent guy he fought he lost too in esteban and lets face it esteban isnt really anything special
Find it hilarious when people say Duran would beat Pacquiao or Mayweather, he would literally be a stepping stone for those guys onto bigger and better things. He has absolutely NOTHING on them, Nothing.
To be an ATG you actually have to win your high profile fights, not lose just about all of them. He couldnt even beat above average fighters who ATGs should be beating like Benetiz.
As i said, literally the most overrated boxer in history. He beat a bunch of ok fighters but everytime he stepped up he lost. Thats the story of his fat tomato can durans career.

He beat a green SRL who decided to fight his fight! lol
Then suddenly hes in the top 10 ATG list? Everytime he stepped up to fight a good fighter he lost. ATGs dont lost their greatest fights, and they sure as hell dont lose to B-C level fighters
Duran again, the most overrated fighter in history

I agree that Duran might just be a little bit overrated but he certainly is a god damn ATG at his lower weights of 135-147 he was one of the best we've likely ever seen.
But Toney's not a good example because he's one of the most overrated fighters I've seen.

Durans considerd the greatest lightweight of all time. Lightweight being the most talented deep division in boxing history. Duran started as a skinny Bantamweight before going to feather green as hell and beating arguably the most talented featherweight of all time in Ernesto Marcel. Marcel went on to retire a world champion after beating a prime Alexis Arguelo in his last defence.
Duran still green dethroned hall of fame boxer Ken Buchanan. Buchanan was a beautiful boxer with an ATG jab and tough as hell. Duran also beat Esteban Dejesus twice after losing the first fight. De Jesus was brilliant and also a hall of famer. Both Buchanan and De Jesus were in their prime when Duran beat them.
Duran had a few bouts at welterweight before facing Leonard beating Hall of fame boxer Carlos Palomino. Palomino was tough as nails and a brilliant inside fighter. Duran took him to school
Duran had 71 fights before he stepped up to face Leonard. Only losing one of them. Duran was already a great before he fought Leonard. After he stepped out of lightweight Duran was past his best and fighting much bigger men who also became greats. He beat the 2nd best welterweight of all time. He ran arguably the greatest ever middleweight ever close, he was up on the cards after 12 vs Hagler. Hagler was in his absolute prime as well. Duran even had no right giving master boxer Benitez a tough fight. Old fat Duran defied all the odds by beating the **** out of hot prospect Davie Moore and beating Monster middleweight Iran Barkley. Barkley had previously knocked out Tommy Hearns twice before facing Duran. This is the equivalent of Floyd beating GGG after GGG sparked a future ATG twice which isn't going to happen. Barkley went on to fight at light heavy ffs.
The only boxer to beat the **** out of Duran was Tommy Hearns but he was a freak of nature in those days .Last edited by DJ Enerate; 04-23-2016, 03:43 AM.

TS is a prime example of why we have shyt matchmaking these days and the networks create hypejobs. Being good enough to hang with all time greats isn't enough. Your W's and L's have to look pretty so the fanboys can get off. In 2016 the warrior is dead, it's all about the winners. Fk that.

Broner has proven to be B-/C+ range level fighter with A level hype.

Check out my thread on it in the history section if you're bored. A lot of back and forth. Obviously the vast majority disagreed which was expected.
