I’ve been watching boxing since Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. was in the ring, so when I heard the name Jake Paul – a YouTuber – fighting the son of the legend, I was a little uncomfortable. Chavez Jr., while not at the height of his father’s career, is still a veteran boxer. Having Jake fight him is a confirmation that the sport has become too commercial. Still, I’ll watch, to judge Jake Paul’s true ability if he’s serious about this sport.

As much as I detest the preferential treatment a lot of boxers get because of money, a Paul exhibition usually has at least one intriguing fight on the undercard. Nothing to make the PPV fee justifiable, but Schofield vs Farmer for example is a darn intriguing fight.
