Go on, post an actual quote from an actual source...
How about you find just ONE source that says 2.7 million that came out before Sulaiman started making things up? Why is it that every figure for fight one was 10 million, and every figure for fight 2 was 10 million, and there aren't any figures dis*****g that until Sulaiman started lying? Where do you think that 10 million figure came from?
Let's see your state of California source too, while we're at it.shwaap likes this.

So why would the word of a proven liar in Sulaiman be taken as gospel here that he was willing to fight the unified champ for 200K more than fighting his mandatory?

Bivol got paid 2.5m for Zurdo so that is his market value. Beterbiev was paid 1.2m for the Callum Smith fight yet now apparently they got 10m each to fight for undisputed as if they are huge stars? They are nobodies out side of the hardcore boxing world.
Oh and Hearn just confirmed the 8m offer was real in an interview. He claims Bivol was paid more than that for the Beterbiev 'fights'. It's unclear if he meant in total or per fight.

Find me one article about fight income for ANY purse number that actually names their source, when it's not the promoter or fighter trying to influence things. Sources speak under conditions of anonymity. That's been par for the course for years. Suddenly it's a problem now, because Sulaiman, of all people, made a different claim? Holy transparent agenda, Batman.
And you want to talk "market value"? Go look at the purses for champions for mandatories vs unifications vs undisputed. Maybe learn a little something. You one of those fools who thinks that the Saudis are in boxing to make money? Beterbiev avoided Bivol for years. He's suddenly going to sign for a few hundred thousand more? GTFO. There's literally zero details that line up here.
If there was an 8 million offer (and here you're citing Eddie Hearn, that absolute pillar of honesty, but sure, I'll take it on face value), then that just proves that Sulaiman was lying about the other figure. Because that makes it even less likely that Bivol wouldn't just make the fight if it's actually a career high payday. But if it's 2 million less than he got for his last paydays, then, of course he'll go for the guy who has been paying him.
Not to mention, we already saw Benavidez' own promoter saying, from his own mouth, that Turki is the one who brings the money, making no mention of an 8 million offer, and that they would never fight in Saudi. If they've got an 8 million offer and Turki is low-ball ING, why is Sampson saying the fight won't happen because the guy with the money doesn't want the fight?

usually when someone talks about how much someone got paid for a fight thats what they mean, not a combo of two fights and total that up, would u agree?
