    We talking just lineal/undisputed here? I'd probably say Louis, Ali, Foreman, Liston and probably Dempsey.

      But there is such a thing as even odds too. A man can be a slight favorite or much more. I feel no one is an overwhelming favorite against Lewis. The slight favorites and even propositions might be

      Dempsey---slight
      Marciano---even
      Liston-------slight
      Ali------------even
      Foreman---slight
      Fury---------even

      Thank you. I am Porky Pig and new at this!

            Holyfield vs Lewis is the measuring stick to go by. He’s the only great heavyweight Lewis faced that wasn’t completely shot to pieces. Holyfield wasn’t near his best either. Those fights were close and technical.

            Ali > Lewis
            Louis > Lewis
            Liston > Lewis
            Foreman > Lewis
            Marciano = Lewis
            Frazier = Lewis
            Tyson = Lewis
            Dempsey = Lewis

            curious how the short come forward fighters do against Lewis, because I don’t think Tua did a very good job as a short man to use that as a measuring stick. Even Tyson was more effective, just completely not in condition for that type of fight at that level.

            “just remember these guys are all great champions. You cant take oliver mcall and say oh him and Joe are the same size that means Lewis wins” no these cats aren’t scared or intimidated under the lights they come to win at all costs and have huge egos.

              I'm not sure why you would want to add such a limitation but fine, since it's your thread I'll go along.

              I honestly see Lewis beating every single one of them. He was just a very well rounded proven HW at a massive size, who could fight with all kinds of techniques against all kinds of opponents in all kinds of fights. But that's not to say that some matchups wouldn't be close and could go either way.

              The Fury before the comeback had incredible movement for a man that size as well as cardio. Though Lewis could KO him eventually, Fury could run away with the points win. The thing with Fury is that even if Lewis wanted to make it a tough dogfight on the inside, Fury is no stranger to that either. And we know he has a ton of heart.

              Ali and Holmes with their great movement and long, accurate jabs and 1-2's could steal enough rounds from Lewis to win. They had 15 round cardio that they could condense into 12 rounds for an even higher pace especially Cassisus Clay. Lewis could drop them but it was extremely difficult to finish them, and they recover very quickly. These 2 are no joke.

              And if there was a version of the beefed up Evander of the mid 90s who had his speed and youth of the early 90s, I would favor him over Lewis. But that version doesn't exist. Young Evander gets bullied by Lewis and older Evander, well we already saw the outcome.

                - - Must come as a surprise to you that Lewie has one of the biggest inferiority complexes in fighter history to match Lar who's still trying to lift Rocky's jockstrap.
