Was Sugar Ray Robinson vs Henry Armstrong filmed?

Does anyone have this fight, any footage of it? Just like SRR fights with Gavilan, i think it is lost footage.

I have always been under the impression ( from reading in the boxing rags) that the fight was a dog. Hank was finished and SRR carried him giving him a payday . . . so goes the legend. I could be very wrong.

      - -Recall some very limited footage back in the Great A Heyday, so it must've been filmed, but only a "collector" would be interested in keeping a film in proper conditions so he could get a copy made.

Like Pep said, Henry was shot and Ray never the villain just sorta skeetered around with some popcorn for the fans.

I don't think i was filmed but if it was it is not available to watch today. Robinson was in his prime and weighed 145 while Armstrong who weighed 140 for this fight was done as a great fighter and this was his retirement fight. Robinson took the fight to make sure his idol Armstrong got a big payday to retire on. Robinson kept the fight at long range and easily won every round but never tried to KO his hero. Armstrong never fought again..

                - -The maybe 10 minute I saw of the fight was obviously filmed, and guaranteed your description of the fight was exactly that. Some fights fall into the no brainer category
