You should at least be objective and add CNN to the list, considering they were straight up gaslighting people claiming there were no riots.

Granted TBH I consider all major media outlets to be basically propaganda but best I'm able to tell OAN and Fox take the deceit to another level. Fact checking is - as you may have gathered - one of my things. If CNN said there were no riots I'd have to agree it was straight bullchit... if they said that reports of rioting were framed to create maximum public reaction by some channels I'd say that was more accurate. If you want to say CNN underplayed the amount of rioting... well, I guess that's matter of perception. I could probably devise some kinda equation though.

Ha ha well I could point out that the term 'mainstream media' is a term predominantly used by folk of pronounced political leanings - both left and right - to mean the media that doesn't affirm their own beliefs.. That kinda means it's implicit in the use of the term that they consider it biased and untrustworthy so it's pretty much a value free observation.

There have been some more or less useful efforts to use statistical methods to establish both the level of bias and level of accuracy in various news sources which I could share - and critique - if you're interested, but I tend to find most folk who talk about bias in the mainstream also tend to dismiss any evidence to the contrary as simply more evidence of bias so...
