TBF I ain't looked much into Harris' philosophy and politics but I will say that if she's part of US ********ic machine I will virtually guarantee she ain't 'hard left' by any objective international standards. You simply don't get to a top position in a centerist party if your views ain't broadly aligned. You just wouldn't be put forward as a candidate.

Tell you what I'll look into her policies a little more, but maybe you could help by pointing me at what you think amongst her stances and public statements - makes you consider her 'hard' left?

If it's government run medical insurance, that's basically parallel to what you got in many European countries, like Germany for instance who most assuredly ain't 'hard left' by most people's standards and considerably to the 'right' of actual public ownership like the UKs NHS.

The Green 'New Deal' is right in line with most international standards as are many of her other policies best I can quickly tell, though I haven't looked too deep. The most you can say is that she's fairly ******* by recent US standards but honestly that ain't really saying a great deal.

Ordinarily you would say One day they will actually have a a left just out of necessity like the system in Ireland which both their mains parties are centre right and Sinn Fein came out of nowhere to Hoover up votes.
