ATTENTION!! Yohan Blake will break the 200m WR today

Yohan "The Beast" Blake is going to run the 200m race in Brussels today and my prediction is a NEW WORLD RECORD!!!!!!!!!

Yep, He'll smash Usain Bolt's 19.19 so I think I just have to change my signature from 19.26 to 19... or 18...

I'll bump this thread after the race........Don't mess with the beast.

That record is good for another 5-8 years.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Just "19.54". He'll be back next year though.

What the hell are you talking about? It's not about height. Blake's turn is already incredible and his finish is even better. Last year he would've ran faster than 19.19 had it not been for his bad start. He was behind after 100m. Any man who can run 19.26 with a horrible start can indeed break the WR. Today his turn was really good but his finish wasn't there. He didn't have the power today.

The scary part...He can still improve a whole lot in the 200m.

That record is good for another 5-8 years.
No it's not. Blake and Bolt with push each other to break the WR.

you`ve never run track, eh? to be dominant in races on the turns ie; 200m, 400m, you are usually lanky. a guy with Blake`s height won`t be demolishing any records at the 200.

LOL a WR is very hard to break but I thought he could do it today though. Bolt is usually far away from breaking his own WR too. He usually runs 19.50-19.60. Blake will get there very soon.

                  OK. it`s not. lol

The man ran 19.54 - not even CLOSE to the world record 30 years ago.

But just for your own purposes, find the average heights of 200m world champs and world record holders.

Right now Bolt is the only one who can run a better curve than Blake. Tall lanky sprinters like Wallace Spearmon has no chance whatsoever.

C'mon now. Blake is only 22 still improving and his PB is 19.26. This man can definitely break the WR. Some of the fastest men in the history of 200m not tall lanky dudes. When it comes to textbook curve in the 200 Tyson Gay is the second best ever and he's only 5'11. Blake is still a raw talent when it comes to the 200m can improve in every aspect of the race. His start, curve running technique and finish.
