In previous studies when the earth went through these hotter cycles, it was the hot weather that drove up the CO2 levels, not the CO2 levels driving the climate. Vostok ice core samples prove that the earth's temperature has fluctuated over the last several centuries and hot summers and milder winters are nothing new.
