very sad, incidents like this are why police have every right to be 'trigger happy' if a suspect is behaving su****iously, think people forget it is a job to earn some money and that they are human beings...

Its more complicated than that... Trigger happy solves nothing. Unfortunately some errors are obvious here. When approaching an armed subject, you need to always have a place to take cover. Your firing a pistol at someone with a rifle here... Vehicle should have been at a T to suspect's truck, doors open. Fire initiated should have been from the the fortification of the vehicle, the doors as an absolute last resort for cover. If I have a pickup, all I have to do is open my back sliding glass window and I can fire away... I also have my doors. When approaching a suspect cops have to be aware of their options and the options of the suspect.

Its sad and I hate to second guess... But I taught tactics and always use real footage. Knife attacks are the worse.
