We need to watch out for this stuff.

The thing with manipulation is that the person/people being manipulated don't know they're being manipulated. Otherwise they wouldn't be manipulated.

As AI keeps taking off, I worry that politicians (or their research groups) will go to great lengths to manipulate people using AI.

We see it already - it's sooooo easy for some website to write a piece and get people all pissed off so that they argue and fight and threaten each other in some dumb internet forum. I think that's just the start of what AI can do to mobilize people.

Probably with deep fakes. They'll be used to assassinate the character of anyone they want to.

The scary part to me, is that the angry masses won't even care if a video is faked. If the *****-haters see a fake ***** video, they'll be all, "there's no proof it's fake. ***** is that corrupt that I believe this."

And vice versa for the other side.

It is a scary time, my friend.

The people have the power to stop this. All we have to do is stop following the lead of these corrupt politicians.

The politicians have already succeeded in sowing distrust and actual hate among us Americans.

They did this to win elections and stay in power.

We dont actually hate each other. We were just manipulated by politicians and the billion dollar PAC industry carrying out research on how to best anger and scare people into hating the other party and voting for them.

Social engineering, my friend. On us, by our politicians.
