    Dota 2

Have never really been into MOBAs but I thought I'd finally give DOTA a try because I'm bored as **** of everything else I've got and thought, if so many people play it there must be something good about it no matter how kinda boring and tedious it looks.

This game is addictive as fuuuuuuuuuuck, started a few days ago n I'm hooked, so many different characters, currently 102, which are all unique and have there different playstyles which make every match I play feel fresh, have only been concentrating on playing 1 character and haven't found myself bored for a second of the 8 or so hours I've played, the matches generally last 30 - 60 min which is a kinda ****ty because I can't ever play on a day where I've got somethin planned , can't just play 1 match n be done, this game is like crack.

A downside I could see in the future is it could gets kinda confusing with all the different specific roles and such when it get's too the competitive level and, although I haven't encountered them yet, the community is renown for being full of ****s, where if you make one mistake they stomp on ya head n give ya ****, but that's either an exaggeration or I haven't encountered them because I'm clearly not that level of play yet, the community so far seem kinda cool and helpful though.

Dota 2 is pretty good and I find much better when playing with mates. I play this a little as well as Heroes of Newerth (HoN).

It can get pretty heated and full of ragers if someone is obviously bad/noob/trolling.

The downside you mentioned is what makes this game fun, strategic, tactical and entertaining. Your team must work together using a different range of roles to win, this is what team orientated games involve. Obviously it would get more challenging and difficult in a more competitive environment, but as I mentioned earlier, this is where playing online with mates come in handy.

Can't get into games like LoL/DotA/HoN, the camera angle and movement is just so boring and not enjoyable to me. I do play Smite here and there though, its pretty damn good tbh. Love the camera angle...

Yeah, Dota 2 can be insanely addicting, especially when you start understanding how different heroes work and how matches play out. I had the same issue when I first started, telling myself I’d play just one game, and then three hours would disappear. The learning curve is steep, but that’s part of what keeps it fresh. Once you get into ranked games and strategy starts playing a bigger role, it gets even more intense.

If you ever get deep into it and start collecting skins, there are ways to sell Dota 2 items for real money rather than just Steam balance: . Makes it easier to cash out or trade for other stuff.
