fight night champion has been the worst of the series by far

sure, the visuals are great, the animations and punch controls are great.

    but everything else. SUCKS.

So much of it is based on who picks the best fighter. Noobs can dominate in this game. I'm losing games with punch stats that read nearly 70%, I'll throw 200 less punches than my opponent and land 100 more than him, and STILL lose. I used to be amazing in all the other games except this one, so I know it's not me sucking. I've played the FN games since knock out kings on n64.

I know this game is ****ed because I can't even gage how well im doing anymore. I don't even know if I'm winning. I could be landed 100's of counters and slipping everything yet still be losing. I don't know what gages a winner in FNC.

the defense in this game is beyond noobish, any dumbass can accell if all you have to do is hold one button down. If you have a good body puncher like Tyson, a good insta win is just to hit the body for 5 rounds, you won't be able to lose.

Besides the terrible, skilless game play, we have a ton of overpowered fighters from the game story mode that need to go. As well as ignorant quirks such as excluding a prime George Foreman, one of the most popular HW's ever, to only pre ordered games. Yet the games been out how long? WTF, at least make old George the one you have to unlock, if you need that ****** idea to begin with.

Other quirks such as counter punches being next to useless, and power punches held with the R2 modifier being noobtastically effective, allowing idiots to keep throwing Bishops level 20 rated right hand over and over again regardless of how bad he's being countered, and deal so much damage it doesn't matter when you can't miss.

Ali is nearly the worst HW in the game - perhaps only to butterbean. Reason being? Body shots. He can't avoid them, and he can't stay in the fight because his body shot ratings are so low.

Having intelligent, ratings based defense is a good idea, but bring back the up and down blocking. To allow intelligent players to deal with spammers.

The other FN games, even FNR4, I only lost when someone was legit better than me and had a better game plan.

In FNC sometimes I don't even know how I lose. Sometimes I don't even know how I win. Whats worse, sometimes I really can't figure out how my oponents stamina is perky as ever in round 10 when the punch stats read he's thrown and missed 300 more punches than me.

I'm also curious who was patching this game, up until now it's been completely unplayable. Now it's playable but only if your opponent chooses to box. Which is a rareity. Notice more and more players simply choose Robinson because thats the only chance anyone has.

I don't play it anymore.... not online anyway.

I only play with my brother, every once in a while, we max out all the settings and hold mini tournaments.

    it's alright

I sometimes wonder if the stats issue was intentionally designed that way just so that it'd make people playing World Championship online pay for the stat boost items. EA have milked the hell out of people with this game, making them pay extra for anything they can.

I remember once having a fight against someone with better stats, and the other guy just stood there and let me unload flush power shots, then came back the next round and won because my shots had taken more out of me than him. Obviously boxers sometimes punch themselves out but that particular type of fight simply wouldn't be possible in real life, it would just look like that Nate Campbell incident.

It sucks that there have been 3 MMA games out in the last year or so (UFC, EA MMA, Supremacy) yet just one boxing game. Unless you count that stuff on the Wii/Kinect/PS Move, which I don't.

Having said that...I do like the game. It's a boxing game and has a lot going for it, I've had some great, great fights online and offline, and I still play it sometimes. But it has some serious flaws which sometimes ruin the experience.

At least I ain't the only person who feels FNC seemed generic. Personally I think FN2 was the best out of the series, the champion mode was better and if you lost the other person was just better.
