Just played online for the first time in a while.

At first I played offline vs the computer. Had a couple of surprising scorecards but otherwise a good experience.

But then online...my stamina was draining very quicly. I try not to be too aggressive but when the other guy is marching forward, throwing a lot of hooks, you have to open up IMO.

Anyway, with 2 rounds gone I had something like 80% stamina. From then on, I dropped the pace, but by the end of round 5 I was tired and resorted to just running (or walking, due to slow footspeed when tired). I lost 4 rounds in a row and then won the 10th because I knew I could afford to throw more.

When all was said and done, he'd throw 150+ punches more than me (and landed 55 more) and seemed to have more stamina left.

I felt bad about it, but then afterwards the guy sent me some butthurt message so now I'm pleased I fought that way.

The scoring is odd though. Both online and offline I have won rounds 10-8 despite not doing anything special. I outlanded the guy online by 15 punches in one round and was given a 10-8 by Atlas and the 3 official judges. In 2 other rounds he outlanded me by 40 punches and only got 10-9. Seems like they've made some bad/odd changes to that as well in the tuner.

I think I'm gonna give up on this game. Damn shame because I love boxing and I love video games, but it's just turned to **** really (although it wasn't great to begin with, it was better than this).

I was 12-7 and now since the tuner I'm 13-13. It just seems like no matter what, my fighter gasses and gets stopped. In my last fight I threw less, landed more, went to the body a hell of a lot, but it was still the same thing.

On the 'ranked fight' mode (or whatever the mode is called where you play online as real life boxers) I am 9-1 with 8 KOs. But on the world championship mode, it seems like it's more about how you spend your xp. One guy I played had clearly just maxed out the straight right hand and threw it continually, and so knocked me out in the first round. Ridiculous.

Plus because you start with low stats, you can't fight how you usually would. Wanna block a punch? Nah, your block stat is 2/20! But you can always use head movement. Oh no wait, your stats for that are just as bad. So how about you abandon defence and go on the attack? Well, you can try, but after 2 rounds you'll collapse of exhaustion so what's the point?

I know I could just play the mode with real life boxers, but I like the idea of levelling up and everything else. It sucks that EA are ******ed.

Probably a lot worse then when you last played it.

That game has been a disaster ever since it came out .... Now it's even worse than before ...FNR3&4 were so much better.
