I am not too savvy with the update system like I said, whenever I touch it I end up with random fighters in random places! How do you update yourself? I changed the "Online database server" link to tbdata.pisd.co.uk, that's all I've done so far. Is there any more I can do to make it better? I probably play the game all wrong, but it is how I enjoy it ya know? At the minute my HW division consists of a 12 Tyson Fury, then Wilder, AJ and Usyk all at 9. Whyte and Andy Ruiz at 8, Yoka, Wallin, Parker, Ortiz, Joyce, Hunter, Hrgovic and Chisora all at 7s.

I haven't touched the other divisions so far. I still have the likes of Floyd (JLW), B-Hop (MW), Erik Morales (FW) and Paul Williams (WW) on the active rosters lol. It is weird, some of the records are from pretty recent (got a JMW Canelo), but then some seem they haven't been touched since before 2010. Should I be updating/erasing fighters via my Save Games, or should I look to remove/update them from my game files? The export/import utility seems a little glitchy to me too and I haven't quite got the hang of it yet. Struggle to move export fighters and move them between my pc and laptop for example.
Yeah, I've had 2013 since launch and yep, updating the data server link is the only thing I ever did as far as being able to get updates. I was all over both forums, talked to a bunch of people, slowly, and eventually just gave up on getting the system to work really.

There is a link on the fighters to disconnect them from the datapool and they don't get updated. You could check, but, I'm sure you're set to update because that is default. Best way to keep guys up to date would be by yourself.

I could be wrong, but, I think the problem is it's like one or two dudes doing the updating. Take Whyte, I have Whyte on a file. xbtc3 or some such similar weird extension. Anyway I got Whyte on file because Whyte wasn't in the database back then. He is now, but, still isn't up-to-date, just more updated than 2013. It does get updated, just slowly...as ****. If you're one or two or even a few like five or six fellas, updating all of boxing ever, you're gonna be doing that slow as ****. So I assume that's the case. I only ever see IcedT anymore but tbf it's been years since I've looked. If it's Ice alone dude, you can outpace him because he's not direction.

The folders are under my programs and my documents by default. Yours should be there. I know XML's are stored in one of them because I found it while dropping photos in the photo folder and changing the belt colors. Can't stand seeing everything in WBO maroon. Around mid-day I'll have like an hour or so to look around and see if I can edit out extras a bit more quickly than the in-game solution.

The way I actually work it is I have one game I use for testing stuff and all others I keep nice and clean. So if I update the test game and it grabs new boxers instead of updating I can go into my clean game, delete the out of date guy that has a problem updating, export the updated version from the dirty game and import him into the clean game. Same with new boxers at are actually new to TBCB. I just use one game to get them from the database then plug them into whatever game I'm going to actually play.

Basically, I never let the system do **** to the games I want to see just one name, as up-to-date as I can, per person. Personally I don't like to make my own characters, but if I got over that I'd be filling out my **** on my own.

I have not played it. But any boxing game talk reminds me of how disappointed I am at their being no more boxing games like Fight Night. For gaming purposes and just for the sake of boxing matchmaking in general, it would be really nice if boxing became regulated by one organization like what UFC is to MMA, MLB is to baseball, NFL is to football, etc.

As someone who has been playing TBCB 2.5 since it came out some thirteen years ago I'd have to dispute the notion that new boxers aren't being added to the game. There is a dedicated group of players who work hard to update the collection of fighters within the game. The newer version of the game branded TBCB 2013 was and is a mess. Most of the inhabitants of the OOTP/TBCB forum abandoned that version a long time ago, and went back to the older more stable TB 2.5. Check out the "Inside the Ropes" section of the forum for just a few of the universes developed by players. Some have been around for almost twenty years!

I appreciate that. I've never even given 2.5 a go. I just assumed, you know, progress was made.

I'm gonna try it out, thanks a bunch bud.

Had the table top version back in the '80s, computer version in the 2000s. Had 2.5 but replaced it with the latest which now, of course, is no longer supported and the registration codes no longer valid.
