PS3 Worth it?

I'm glad this thread is up because I've been debating with myself which system to get my son for X-mas......He has a PS# and 360 at his mothers but when he comes to my house we still just got the old PS2 so I am going to get him a PS3 I think.....I've always been more of a Playstation kind of guy myself so I think I will stick to what I know.The Blue Ray thing is cool feature to have too.

Although his parents are separated he will have two PS3s...........draw/even.

OMG, PS3 will now have a whooping 8 games in total. What a great system!

dued you say it like 360 has a lot of games....2008 is full of **** for x360....there's like 30 big games(new ips and established exclusives) for ps3...


wy cant you just accept both are good systems??.........x360 had a lot of titles in 2007, now 2008 is the year for ps3.....simple as that...

well put it this way 360 and ps3 have aroud the same amount of games out and the 360 has been out 16 months longer so it aint long before the ps3 takes over.

Gran Turismo 5
Killzone 2
Tekken 6
Metal Gear Solid 4
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy XIII Versus

Those 6 games alone will erase 360 from the face of the earth in Japan.and will make it a pretty even fight in europe.....like ive said before, X360 will keep a comfortable lead in America, although it will be diminished considerably...


2008 will also have sequels for 2 of PS3's launch big sellers:

Motorstorm 2
Resistance:Fall of Man 2

It will also have less known but promising exclusives like:

Little Big Planet, this game was the hit of the 2007 e3.
HOME-not reall y a game but a very promising feature.
White Knight Story-Expect to be the next big thing, kind of like Final Fantasy
8 Days to Vegas-Direct competition to Grand Theft Auto...
HAZE-Expected to be a very good shooter...
Star Ocean 4-from the makers of Final Fantasy another RPG
Infamous


and of course the titles that will come out in all platforms-like Devil May Cry 4, residnet evil 5, Grand Theft Auto 4, Guitar Hero 4, etc....


and of course theres still the chance tha GOD OF WAR 3 may come out, though its still planned for 2009, the probable year that the best 2007 titles like Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted and Heavenly Sword get their sequel....

I hate rpg games.I am jealous of Tekken 6 though also GTA 5. I love those games. All I've really been hearing about the PS3 is how they're failing but we'll see how it all plays out.
