How should boxers fight someone with a knife in hand?

You shouldn't. But, if faced with the situation, keep in mind that most street fights begin and end with the first punch. If you're experienced and accurate, strike first. If not, follow Bruce Lee's advice and run away.

In my one time tackling someone with a knife, I grabbed their wrist (knife hand) and performed a standing kimura, weaving my other arm through and bending their arm behind their back. I was able to get them out of the building at that point. I wasn't even thinking, I just found myself doing it and I'm really lucky it worked out ok. I definitely recommend fleeing whenever possible.

the real answer is don't fight like a boxer fight like someone who wants to survive its not boxer vs a knife fighter its a fight period....first always block with your forearms because this will protect your vital areas ,in a knife fight be glad you only received some sort of slashes and no penetration in your body ,that is the goal. almost all knif fights someone gets cut,the key is where.....


blocking with forearms/elbows protecting ribs/face find your moment if possible don't fight the knife fight the person so you will have to get control of arm/wrist,go for eyes always WHEN OPEN UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND CAN OVER POWER AND TAKE THE KNIFE AWAY THEN DO SO with punches...the goal is to subdo not k.o the assailent...worry about the nutrilazional then go from there.....the biggest mistake is trying to punch a guy with a knife first,b/c it will increase the odds of getting stabbed always close the distance and get control of the arm,giving a guy distance with a knife will only give him more opportunities to swing and eventually land a fatal if not serious blow.


Yes I have been attacked with a knife...stake knife tbh...lol...almost lost pinky and the other guy went to the hospital. I disarmed him and this was in the dark,it could have been worse had I decided not to let him breath ever again since it was my house..., the blood stains are still on my stair case but its great for when Halloween roles around.

Like you normally would but holding an object. Make sure you have tje knife pointing down, this isn't a fcuking fencing match.
Don't think the knife is going to do all the work for you, you still have to fight. Knife is there to put the iceing on the cake and finish 'em off.

Wrap a piece of cloth around one hand and use it to handle the knife. You may still get hurt but at least it's much better than a bare hand.

Run away or learn some eskrima/Kali incase you get cornered it will open your eyes for weapon side of things never try and disarm unless last resort just run away or give them wallet if needed
