Is my coach teaching me right?

Hello, I started at a new boxing gym last night, which means I also have a new trainer. I am used to the toe-heel alignment stance, which is the most commonly thing taught on YouTube. Instead of this, he taught me to keep my feet shoulder width facing forward, then step forward with my left foot and that’s it. No toe-heel alignment, or turning the foot at “45” or “90” degrees. my rear foot faces forward naturally. It looks something like this. Is this bad coaching? Perhaps time to find a new one?

while on most sites, this stance is taught with the toe-heel lining up.

You mean the one with the guy wearing all white right? Or the other pic. If you don’t mind me asking, could you explain why it’s trash?

At first, your new coach should inform you about that every blow to your head is a step closer to early dementia.

I kind of seeing what he's teaching but without watching in full motion can't really tell??? Pics ain't doing it for me what he's teaching. Most gyms on newbies treat you like babies. And no respect. So they want to see if your untrainable....Or worth their time.

You mean the one with the guy wearing all white right? With the toe heel aligned? Or the other one? May I ask why is it bad?

The one where his right foot was pointing toward 3 o'clock. You can't get your right hand off fast at all. What happens when a guy just steps to you're left? Keep your right foot pointed at about 2 o'clock.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
after some experience, I just tell myself to point both of my feet at my opponent. The feet are still staggered, not squared. I think the whole 45 or 90 degree angles of feet are over simplifying. Especially that toe heel alignment stance in the second picture, just try standing like that then try to throw a solid right hand or left hook. Head movement in that stance is even limited. Just face your opponent. I am not a boxing expert, so someone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong
