I threw several body shots, but not a whole lot; you're right. I could go for more I suppose. Thanks.

I guess I don't understand amatuer boxing. Or something.

How do they count scoring? Is it more important to land on the head gear than the body?

I was supposing in my mind (especially a fight going several rounds...) that you would want to go to the body because it's not as protected in amatuers (i.e. no protective gear).

But you would know more about it than me. After all, you're the one in the ring.

This guy's head was particularly open. So I stayed in there and countered him inside. But head shots are easier to notice for judges and in the ams the judges are not always all that. You win a fight by landing the most punches, and body shots are not quite as easy to see. But I still love going to the body and plan to go there more when I can.

You hit him with a nice right hand flush when you were exchanging.

You had a nice crisp left hook you opened up with a lead right.

            Looks good.

You should see if you can add some punches while you're backing up.

Keeping your gloves up and being less evasive will require more jabbing.

Thanks for the posting and being open for critique. One thing to remember about body punching is it will lower your opponent's guard which ultimately will make him more succeptible to the clean head shots your looking for. If you focus mainly on the head, your opponent will adapt by keeping his guard up high throughout the fight which will make it harder for you to get those clean scoring head shots through. Mix your attack and keep your opponent guessing.

I would also say work some on cutting off your opponent's escape route. A couple of times you could have trapped him on the ropes or corner and you were following him as opposed to cutting off the ring so he was able to slide out.

These are just some constructive criticisms. Overall I liked your stance, balance, punching technique and you were able to block the majority of head shots.

You are doing well for only 7 fights. Good job and good luck.

I love watching u bastards fight!

Im no expert, nor a wanabe-coach but heres my opinion for wat its worth.

First i think u could do with a little head movement.
And i thought wen u threw ur punches ur chin went up and ur hands dropped way too low at times. Like for example wen u threw ur left hook ur right glove dropped down.

I liked ur double left hook u threw, and u look like a paitent stalker type. But like i said, a little head movement wen coming forward would be good.

Good video. Good luck in the future.

practice being a little lighter on your feet, so you can duck and move from punches thrown at you. also, you are mainly only throwing the jab and right and some hooks as i saw, when you get in close, try and vary it a bit.

Well I just quickly watched it... I'm on the way to class. From what I saw it seemed pretty even, maybe you losing a little bit, but I didn't see much. Even if you lost, you've got some skills man. You seem to keep your technique well enough in a fight situation for someone who's relativly new. Impressive man, how old are you? If I can fight amateur fights that well on my 7th fight, I'll be satisfied. I'll watch the rest later

                      Peace
