I can't believe Plant didn't KO old man Truax! I kept saying to myself, "OK this is it, ok, this round, THIS round!" I mean, the old guy looked like he didn't even want to be there for a lot of the evening. I wasted a X3 on Plant's sorry ass too! I counted on it to pull me out of the abyss. Never again, lol!
If there ever was a x3 I was sure to use for getting 120 or, at the very least, 90 points, that was that. Unbelievable stuff. The week before I literally threw a sure Fulton pick away to follow a fantasy about Leo, and now this...

Hell, I actually missed picking on the Fulton fight, so I'm off to a roaring start!
OK, so as asgarth pointed out above the long version and full explanation of the game can be found on the first post, but if you just want a real quick rundown it's a prediction league. We put up most of the biggest fights each year - maybe 80 or 90 total, so one or two a week on average - and invite players to predict the winner, the method (KO or decision) and further detail.
If you have a look at the last thread for the 30th Jan you'll get an idea how it works:
You just post your pick in the appropriate thread in the format WINNER METHOD DETAIL, so something like PLANT, KO, MID and you get points based on the accuracy of your pick.
People who get the most total points over the course of the year win cash prizes and bragging rights.
That's the gist of it, there's a bit of nuance around multipliers for big underdogs and optional multipliers when you're particularly confident of a win but you can figure that out as you go along.
Keep your eye out for next weeks thread appearing in the sticky section at the top of the NSB front page, gonna be a good one with three solid fights, Diaz vs Rakhimov, Castano vs Teixiera and Smith vs Vlasov and just post your picks same as everyone else and I'll tot up your scores and get your name added to the leaderboard.
Hey wait a minute, shouldn't I have gotten some points for picking Plant to win? What's up with the doughnut?
Will be on it next day or two, just been real sidetracked this week helping my mum out. She got a load of old cassettes with interviews of dudes from my grandads old RAF squadron - loads of stories from the 1930s and through WWII. NW Frontier, Far East, Greece, North Africa... fascinating shet. Been helping her getting them all digitised and transcribing as much as I can though the audio quality sucks ****.
Anyway yeah... be on it soon, tomorrow, Monday at latest.

That pick still burns for at least three of us, huh?
