No. If Khan had defeated Garcia then had several more wins and kept shouting for Floyd then yeah. Why would Khan be more deserving than Garcia? I don't here anyone saying Floyd ducked Garcia. Khan could have fought Brook three years ago, possibly won that and that would have made him more deserving, but he has wasted the last few years.

I can answer that. the poll Floyd made he announced was exclusive to certain ppl on social media platform. a platform khan is used to using and had about 10x the following chino had. so when Floyd put that poll up khan won a landslide where if you broke it down, he really only needed about 90k votes to win. chino didn't even have 90k social media fans following him.

and even then ppl felt the poll was rigged so other media outlets and boxing websites mad polls of their own between khan and maidana, and guess who won each poll in a landslide? maidana. they captured the votes using ip addresses so ppl couldn't vote twice or rig their polls and I think about 3 independent polls from espn and fight news showed maidana winning the polls.

maidana also was coming up the broner upset at the time broner was wba ww champ an no8 or no9 p4p and a top 5 rated ww. khan delayed the Alexander fight until after Alexander both lost his ibf title and lost his top 10 ww rating consensus.

maidana and khan both fought at 140, but if were being honest maidana 147 resume trumps khan even leading into the Floyd fights. he Hired a legit trainer to teach him to jab correctly after he'd lost to Alexander and it got him to being a world champ. nonetheless when maidana and khan met at 140 khan was forced to take that fight as a mandatory. it was noted he didn't want that fight but because it was mandated khan had to take it. plus his margin of victory of maidana was slimmer than Floyds 1st fight vs a much more improved maidana.

all those things added up plus Floyd vs maidana was a unification and the only the second time Floyd had ever bid for unification fight which is what ppl criticized him for not doing at the lower weights which is unify vs other champs.
