What does "Hatton was only a title holder" have to do with his fight against Mayweather?

Hatton was a genuine champion. THE champion. He moved up in weight to fight Mayweather.

      Lewis > Vitali. TKO6.

      Deal with it.
I'm dealing with dude. But it still amuses me Lewis fans cling to it like it was great victory, Vitali lost fair and square but Lewis clearly did not want to go out on a career tarnishing loss in a rematch.

To face the no.1 guy in his respective division right. Had he have taken care of himself better outside of the game between fights he would have stood a much better chance, instead he ran out of gas down the stretch. I'm comparing his excesses to those of Fury. Hatton was a nearly mm against Floyd but fell short as Fury will ultimately.

Hatton did face the number one guy in his division and made him quit on his stool.

I understand Hatton did drugs, drank and ate all the food in the world hence the name Ricky Fatton.

But why say Hatton was nothing but a title holder when he was a super champion in his division? His division was of course 140. Not and never was 147.

I was referring to 147 the weight he fought Floyd at. I actually thought it was a unification, I was mistaken. Looking back over his record he held the WBA 147 belt but neglected to continue at the weight right.

Hatton looked good but his conditioning caught up with him unfortunately. I expect the same for Fury around the 6 mark if he's still hanging in there. Like he says himself, he's a jelly belly.

Fury might get beaten, but I can guarantee two things. He won't quit and he won't gas.

He has a trememdous tank. Much better than Klitschko's. You've seen Klitschko in training camp. He goes in 4 rounds of sparring, then 6, then 8, then 8 again.

Fury spars 15 rounds on the first day of training.

I respect Wlad a lot and he's been a good champion but don't ever call him Lewis Mk.2.

They're nothing alike. Prime Lewis would have beaten both brothers in the same night. He did Vitali in 6 rounds by smashing his face in and he was already finished and out of shape.

Can't wait for Fury to flatten that big stiff robot and take your points in the process. Hope you remembered the bet.

Also, Hatton "a nearly man"? ....Hatton was a very, very good 140 fighter. The best in his division at the time. Maybe he wasn't Elite like Floyd or somebody, but he was a true world class fighter in his time. Prime Hatton would have wiped the floor with someone like Danny Garcia.
From this, it's clear: you don't watch boxing.

I agree. Fury does a fair amount of roadwork - he'll last the cause (if Wlad doesn't stop him...)

If Klitschko beats Fury by UD haters will be like: "But feather fisted Cruiserweight dropped Fury doe! Wlad couldn't. He is an overrated bum!"

But it's only Wlad fans that bring up that fight? It's completely the other way around. It was the same with Haye. Before the fight Haye didn't deserve the fight, had talked his way into it and hadn't proven himself.

Then when you ask who Wlad has beaten, the first name that comes up? David Haye. Suddenly he's almost a hall of famer, 2 weight world champion, would be champion if Klitschkos weren't around etc
