    Paul tooting his own accomplishments
That says a lot about what he’s really all about

Speaking of a title shot, Paul said, “That’s the goal, the only thing I haven’t accomplished after knockout of the year [versus Tyron Woodley] and most-watched fight in history [versus Mike Tyson]. I neutralize my opponents with my footwork, movement and feints, and they can’t get past my jab.”

This ^^^^^^^^ almost made me vomit
Paul knows the minute he faces an ACTIVE fighter , chalk up another L

This is why Jake is a novelty, and not a fighter, a real fighter could care less if a CHAMPION is marketable enough, that's not how fighters think, Jake is an entertainer, and fighting a well schooled veteran champion like Zurdo is far too dangerous, all of this marketing talk makes team MVP look like amateurs

The argument (or conspiracy, whichever) exists that Paul's fights are scripted. Can't say for sure, but there's a lot of circumstantial (and visual) evidence to suggest as much.

Let's say they are... Which fighter is going to break script? And if they do, what would Jake do/say about it? If he were to try to sue them for breaking the contract, the jig is up for him. And it'd have to be someone not afraid of the repercussions (someone loaded already). All that being said, I think Canelo is the one to do it and I would forgive him for most everything if he were to accept and humiliate Paul.

I don't have a problem with Paul wanting to be a boxer. Part of me roots for him as much as I would root for anyone else trying the craft. But most everyone else tries to earn it the right way.

Paul is decent. But he’s going to get put on the microscope because he brings an army of followers. I admire the hustle. He’s right in a sort of limbo state. He’s clearly much better than YouTube fighters and the Misfits league…but he’s not good enough I think to beat any top cruiserweight. And that’s not a bad thing. He CAN probably hang around or hover at this point around top 20’s or 15’s…he’s gonna’ have to be on his A-game, though. Everybody’s licking their chops right now. Big money if they’re called and they’d probably see it as a chance to poke at his flaws.

Zurdo on his worst night beats him, though. I don’t care how he looked against Dorticos in the early going, Paul would make Zurdo look like Loma.

As terrible as Tommy is, the one thing I will say is that the Fury's most likely follow no one's script but their own. Chalk that up to them probably being semi-illiterate, whatever, but I never got the vibe that any from that clan would acquiesce to a Paul paycheck, or to anyone else's. That's just me.

I…that’s a huge reach. Fixing fights (especially of that magnitude) would be a FEDERAL offense. Federal.

Never mind the wave of litany that would befall Jake and MVP, I would have to go into hiding hearing the non-stop news coverage of how finally “boxing is corrupt”. Talk about egg on your face.

Can you imagine putting that into a contract?

“Fighter B agrees to not throw more than X amount of punches before the end of the 8th round?”

                  And an NDA to boot…?

You can’t have an NDA if the act or circumstances imply something illegal going on.

We can’t pretend that Chavez all of a sudden was a monster back in his day. He never was. Those that were hanging their hopes on him (such as me) were simply overestimating his experience and thinking he’d have a bag of tricks ready for fight night.

Chavez rolled the dice and it came up snake eyes.
