Loma was a class act with other worldly skill and one of the best IQ's in boxing history. Greatest amateur fighter of all time and an all time great pro. He has earned his flowers.

All time P4P skill level. A good cautionary tale of going pro so late in age. An injury free Loma had maybe 1 loss.

I loved watching him and doubt there will be another like him in my lifetime. Truly incredible to watch. I will always remember the Rigo fight and look back in awe at the level he was on at that point in his career.

As boxing is basically dead/dying, he may well be one of the last great fighters. Bud is gone after Canelo for almost certain. It has been amazing to watch the skill level of these two guys.

Loma was one of my favorites since he went pro. He was a complete package and an excellent example for young fighters. His retirement announcement was well articulated and gives a good account where his head is at this point in his life. May his life be joyous and thank you Loma for your excellence and class.

All his losses were controversial. Could've easily been 21-0.
