When you watch a KO short of a slap, you basically watched the entire match in 10 seconds.

Isn't this the dumb s h i t that Dana White is promoting/investing in?
Letting yourself get smacked silly in the face, what a s tupid concept.

From a medical standpoint, sure…it’s not like boxing is devoid of its health risks but this is so ******.
The only ones I can see legitimately driving out of their way to attend one of these hillbilly, Neanderthal-like competitions are frat boys that have low IQ and like to spend their weekends drinking “brewskis” while feeling high and mighty because they’re well versed in politics…cause they listen to Joe Rogan.
Excellent post, daggum. Muhrica…taking increasingly stronger power slaps since 2016.

It’s completely embarrassing.

Its taking place in front of crowds of a few hundred people, nobody knows who any of these Power Slappers are, there is no Power Slap forum (the Reddit has 5k members), the engagement during events on boxing and MMA forums is low, and last I checked their events air on ****ing Rumble lol. Like I said, its popularity is largely an illusion. In terms of regular follower its less popular than BKFC and Karate Combat if anything.

Kind of like jumping on that Turki money train in boxing. The man's greedar is strong.Last edited by famicommander; 06-03-2025, 10:40 PM.TMLT87 likes this.

A few viral clips does not equate to the stable television/streaming audience, paid subscriptions, PPV buys, ticket sales, sponsorships, or site fees that drive MMA, boxing, and to a lesser degree bare knuckle and kickboxing. Power slap is the absolute bottom of the barrel, where fighters and sideshow freaks that can't make it anywhere else go. Like Paige VanZant, who has already washed out of the UFC, BKFC, AEW, and pro boxing only to settle in Power Slap for a fraction of the paydays.
I just had a look at Sherdog because of this thread to see the engagement on there, since i'd assume that would get the most of any forum. The Power Slap discussion is contained to one thread, created in January 2023, they put it on the main UFC forum and sticky it during live events as it doesnt have a dedicated forum meaning it should get more incidental traffic than being buried in a subforum. Its 384 pages long and i'm sure a lot of the posts are just people ****ting on it considering it also has a poll asking how people feel about it and only 20% of voters have a favourable view. During the pbp of their last event it went 4 pages with 7 different accounts posting on there. In comparison last weekends UFC card, which was legitimately one of the most pointless nothing zero hype throwaway UFC cards ever, went 101 pages. Bearing in mind Power Slap hasnt had an event in 3 months either whereas theres big time MMA and boxing pretty much every week too.
