Does Wilder really hit that hard ?

Wilder only really knocks out non contenders easily most contenders or opponents with belts like Fury or Ortiz he takes a while to knock them out or he can’t KO them at all ?

Fury confirms it. His KOes sent people to sleep.

A one trick pony with a hell of a trick.

too bad wilders record confirms he doesnt. doesnt matter what fury says. its called saving face after getting dropped by a non skilled fighter. ngannou dropped fury. usyk had him completely gone as well. is usyk a hard hitter? are steven cunningham and more etc...no of course not. fury just gets dropped a lot which is why you have to actually use a big sample size and look at wilders record and it shows his power was massively overrated and largely dissapeared against the best opponents he fought which is why he only has 2 ko's against 8 top 10 ring ranked opponents and those 2 kos came against the same guy. just not impressive at all and utterly laughable to say hes up there with the biggest punchers ever when his ko ratio is worse than almost all of the best heavyweights in history and those guys fought competition which was much better than wilder and yet they still have better ko ratios

How many times do we have to go through this.

Richard Tower, who sparred with The Klitschkos, Joshua, & everybody else, said Wilder hit a LOT harder than any of them.

David Haye, who sparred with Wilder & a bunch of others, said that Wilder hits harder than anybody else.

Just about everybody who fought/sparred Wilder said he hit harder than anybody they've ever been in the ring with

Only the "haters" claim he doesn't hit hard.

Hitting hard doesn't necessarily mean you'll beat everybody. Earnie Shavers was (before Wilder) considered almost universally the hardest hitter in boxing history & he only beat contenders & lost all the big fights he had.

Wilder is not skilled but he has that one right hand which other fighters have said is hard and fast. You can break it down all you want but the question is if it is hard.

and the stats show it wasnt that hard or at least nowhere near as hard as advertised. peoples words dont matter much in the face of overwhelming contradictory evidence. a lot of people said oj didnt do it cause he was a nice guy or some sh-ite, he still did it. a lot of people saying wilder hits hard doesnt mean it translates to the ring where it matters and it didnt translate very well. if you are saying he was so unskilled he couldnt land one solid punch on his opponent then that makes him look even worse

I always questioned it after he couldn't ko Charlie Z in that gym fight.

that was hilarious and is probably the biggest red flag. charlie took his best shot and his head was totally clear, got knocked down sure but was fine. all the pbc bums he fought were probably told "make it look legit" everyone did their duty cept malik scott he was terrible

Yes he def is top 5 all time. May not be the best boxer but for sure the hardest puncher of the last 30 years. When people make the argument his opponents were trash, who else had dropped and stopped 40 opponents in a row. Plenty of heavyweights who hit hard fought journeyman yet could not drop all of them like Wilder could. The "prime mike tyson from 80s" everyone hypes and claims he would ko anyone, was the same one who went to points 4 times in the 80s even he could not drop all the journeymen he fought. Even journeyman can have a good chin if it was so easy to ko and drop everyone others would have done it. Also when his opponents did improve he still did stop breazeale molina ortiz dropped fury hard. Also as mentioned there are plenty of people who have fought him and sparred him and other heavyweights that have said he hit the hardest. And he doesn't weigh as much as a lot of bigger heavyweights either. Parker and Zhang he barely threw or land anything meaningful so can't really judge of that he didn't land a full clean chin check shot on either.

Is he a great boxer, no. But he had decent speed and timing to get off those KOs he use to get and is for sure a top 5 puncher heavyweight puncher all time
