Floyd Rewatching Marquez-Pacquiao IV

Lol I’ll always have strong DOUBTS about Marquez’s 4th fight with Pacquiao. He COULDN’T drop him once in the first 3 fights (whereas Pacquiao put him down four times in total) yet suddenly, out of nowhere, drops him twice (including a devastating KO) in the final fight whilst looking roided to the gills? GTFO!

He also had a KNOWN steroid distributor in his corner for the fight and this article pre-fight questioned his muscular transformation and how he was suddenly able to squat huge amounts out of nowhere. It also said if he hurt or stopped Pacquiao, there’d always be question marks and that’s EXACTLY what happened.



PS: Fck Mayweather! The only reason he retired undefeated is because he was the face of boxing and Vegas cash cow so it wasn’t in their interest that he lost. However, he should have at LEAST 2-3 losses to his name (ditto for Canelo who took over the mantle as Vegas cash cow and is equally PROTECTED!).

As for Mayweather, there's absolutely NO way in hell that he has a better resume than Pacquiao. Also, let's not forget that he's the king of cherry-picking e.g. fought Canelo when he was green and weight drained at a catchweight, fought Marquez when he was weight drained at a catchweight (but came in HIGHER himself ), fought Mosley when he was 33yo and already had 5 losses and almost got sent to the MOON, cheated to beat Ortiz by taking advantage of his sportsmanship, fought Oscar when he already had 4 losses who even his DADDY thought he lost too (), fought Pacquiao when he was WAY past his best and old (38) and had already been brutally KO'd by PED user Marquez instead of in his prime a decade ago when he was dangerous. I could go on and on.

Also, let's not forget that being the Vegas cash cow (and Haymon's star fighter), he's been protected throughout his career including having knockdowns against him NOT counted and losses against him NOT counted either (e.g. Castillo 1, DLH (his own DADDY thought he lost), Maidana 1 etc).

In comparison, Pacquiao is a world champion in 8 weight classes (vs. 5 for Mayweather), 4 decade world champion (vs. 3 for Mayweather) and dropped and popped Thurman's cherry (and took his belt) when he was a 30yo, undefeated, heavily avoided power puncher despite being 40yo himself. That's a risk Mayweather wouldn't DARE take!

Having said all that...I DO actually like Floyd! He's a fantastic master boxer and a defensive genius. However, NONE of this changes the fact that he's the king of cherry-picking and has massively benefitted from being the Vegas cash cow by having multiple knockdowns/losses NOT counted against him which is the only reason why he retired undefeated.

Ditto for Canelo who should've lost the first two Golovkin fights and probably against Lara too. In fact, despite being soundly beaten by Bivol (152 vs. 84 according to CompuBox), Bivol was only awarded victory by the SLIMMEST of margins on all 3 scorecards (115-113) which shows the level of corruption!

Pacquiao/Marquez rivalry is what boxing is about. Great rivalries that brought out the best in both fighters.
