Puts him firmly above both IMO, I think it would be one of the greatest wins ever.

At the very least even from the most pessimistic point of view, it would be a bigger deal than Mayweather beating Alvarez in 2013. Canelo looks sturdier and much stronger than he was in his earlier days at 154.

I don’t know necessarily if Crawford goes past someone like Pacquiao (because of how dense his results were), but that would be a HELL of an achievement. The only way it’s not is if Alvarez just happens to get iced by Berlanga and all of a sudden we’re here saying Canelo is shot and chinny.
        Iced by berlanga, really?

          …And Floyd too.

Do you not consider Spence a great fighter?

I don’t know if it does that right now. Canelo has already lost to the 3 best men he’s fought if you acknowledge The GGG draw should’ve been a GGG win.

Losing to Crawford would mean he lost to the 4 best opponents he’s had.

Would be a great win no doubt, but elevating him past Floyd and Manny, even factoring in the weight and age.

I don’t think so but does make for a good discussion.

Not a chance. A great win, yes, but it isn't pushing him into top 15-20 ATG status.

For the people calling it the "greatest win ever" On what planet would this victory be more impressive than Ray Leonard, off a 3 year layoff, coming back to defeat Hagler?

                Get a grip.

No, resume is too thin to be rank ahead. The win vs Canelo will put him more in ATG discussions.

As of right now, Crawford is only HOF level fighter, even though i see him as ATG fighter potential. His level of opposition is to low (ATG standard), while i can't blame him for that, it is the only way to rank fighters historically. It is who you beat and when you beat them are very important when discussing ATG rankings.

One more thing. I still don't think he can beat Canelo. Canelo fought way bigger puncher than Crawford. Crawford tends to be slow starter and knocking out opponents in the later rounds. Some of his fights before the KDs and KOs, scorecards are sometimes too close, Porter for example. Crawford needs to be more active and wins the early round because there is very small chance he KO Canelo in the later rounds. Results are most likely Canelo KO Crawford or Crawford decisions Canelo.

                    if Israil wins

T-Bud goes from a great fighter to a HOF level

If he beats nelo, it will be greater than any floyd win. So that would be a ticked box. All bud will need to support that win is win title at 160 too.
Floyd's best wins aren't too great, best older versions of dlh, and ssm, and pac.
bud would be favourite h2h with any floyd win if he could best nelo
