wouldn't be a lot I wouldn't have thought. I'm basing that on Jorge linares who lives in Japan but fights most other places like new York, London, Manchester and Vegas. so can't really see a market there unlike China.

Isn't the yen worth alot though? I remember Tyson fought there because the money was good.

Not massive amounts, but good handsome paydays for the lower weights. TBS/Fuji TV/NTV and TV Tokyo all have big backers and often put "a lot of money" (relatively speaking) up for world title bouts. It's why you don't usually see Japanese world champions travelling.
