Robinson threw the most beautiful punches you ever saw, yet I would give Hearns a slight edge in power. Hearns had the greatest right cross in 147 pound history, and his left hook to the body was fierce. SRR's left hook was better, so a slight edge goes to the Hit Man in terms of overall power.

McClellan was huge compared to the rest, I believe nearly 180 lbs by fight time. Pound for pound I'd say that Hearns was the biggest puncher, a 147 lber who could knock out light heavyweights.

Guys, read the title of that list: It's "greatest" punchers not "hardest" punchers.....Power is only one critera that the ratings are based on.

I agree with this too,robinson was the better puncher in terms of technique but hearns had that raw power,his right hand was like a kick from a mule-and i think thats being generous to the mule!
