The man fought with one of the smallest reaches in HW history. He beat bigger men which is something some boxing fans have a hard on for when giving props to fighters. Yes he beat Joe Louis and Charles on the downside; but that dosen't take away from his wins. He was losing in some of his fights and got a KO when needed. His fight with Walcott and Moore are still solid wins. This man was both physically and skillfully out gun and yet he won every fight and was undefeated.

Marciano's race is an issue. If a white fighter is undefeated than he had to fight tomato cans and journeyman the public can't accept it.
