I believe Arguello was next in line for him to fight.

He could have been a great fighter had he not died in that tragic car accident, he was a relatively slow starter but was very patient and methodical in his attack when he warmed up, he'd slowly break his opponents down by going to the body then coming back up to the head, he was also a very good counterpuncher.

** In the HOF with a better career and title record than SRLeonard as one example of a peer.

Might need to restate that since you acknowledge his talents, but seemingly not his stellar record. Absolutely one of the tip top shelf talents ever in the division.

It's a shame he doesn't get mentioned with the greatest P4P ever. He's been on my list of top fighters forever. He was a beast in the ring and very easy going out of the ring. Awesome fighter!

He was awesome. His dismantling of KO artist Wilfredo Gomez was pure poetry. He could do it all - great defence, fast hands, inside & outside, KO power, great stamina. I reckon he would have MAB and Eric Morales covered.

You can make an argument for him being great, he did beat some great competition but to me Sanchez will always be a what could've been type of fighter.
