I hear there's more abandoned tanks in their deserts than anywhere else on earth because the wrong warlord wins or loses and the boys in the tanks are like well our part is over and piss off to a real life for a bit.

Modern Turkey is actually a capable nation or just a tank depot?
The turks are way more capable than the Arabs thats for sure.

    Up to western standards?

Maybe European standards, I dunno about u.s., uk military standards.

But even then, the USA's aid of roughly 2 billion a year is nothing compared to their annual economy and growing GDP.

No they wouldn't, Israel as a stand alone Nation is still strong enough to counter and push back an offensive as they have shown in the past. Israel has one of the strongest military forces in the world, their whole society is basically a modern Spartan empire where you are expected and required to serve in the military and trained to fight outnumbered odds.

They have been training and planning for when the West stops funding them for decades now, it's not going to be an easy wet dream for some monkeys with rockets and pickup trucks to storm Israel and take it out.
Sounds like they don’t need aid from the US...why are they getting it, when there others who undoubtedly need it more?

People hate Israel for what? For dealing with *********s harshly? If we are being truly honest thats just a convenient excuse. People hate USA far less than Israel and USA ransacked and pummeled 2 entire mid east foreign countries and occupied them for nearly the past 20 years. Meanwhile what did Israel do, retake its historic land that is has to share with people who hate them and established the only western ********ic government in the region?
                “Retake it’s historic land”. Lol
You realize that’s basically the crux of the issue. The problem is, there was people there.

And no it's not for dealing with *********s harshly it's for treating a good proportion of it's civilian population as second class citizens as part of a deliberate policy to drive them off their ancestral lands. In fact it is precisely the Israeli treatment of that population which has led to the '*********' backlash... although I seriously question the use of the term in this context. Would you consider the Uighurs or Tibetans '*********s' for fighting back against Chinese oppression? Would you be a '*********' if say the Chinese attempted to colonise your country and appropriate your lands and you fought back using whatever means were available to you?

You read anything of the history of Israel and how it was founded, man? You read Der Judenstaat? Read about the Stern gang and the ***ish Underground?

Seriously I got deep sympathy for the plight of the ***ish people and can fully understand their absolute determination to create a homeland and refuge from perecution and a bulwark against the world, but in no way does that excuse the crimes they've commited and continue to commit against the indigenous inhabitants of the region in pursuit of that goal.
The first modern act of terrorism in that region was committed by ***s against the British, in fact.

If having a secure homeland is the goal, then continually building illegal settlements further into the territory of these “*********s” is a pretty poor way to go about it. They want it all, plain and simple. It was the stated goal of the zionists from day one.

I think part of the reason USA supports Israel so unconditionally is because the countries were founded in a similar fashion. A bunch of Europeans settling land at the expense of the indigenous population.

Yeah... hence my reference to the Stern Gang... although it was preceded by a coupla lesser known groups like the IZL.

And yeah broadly I agree - Israeli policy over decades has essentially been the acquistion of all the lands of the former *********** mandate and ideally the removal from it or complete pacification of the non-***ish population. Be a little unfair to tar all Israeli citizens with the same brush of course, cos there are and always have been significant voices calling for peace and reconcillation within Israeli society, but the voices of the military and the more extreme Zionists have generally taken precedence.

It's been said by some that Israel is less a state with an army than an army with a state, and this extreme level of military preparedness is probably what th TS is refering to I guess... I doubt it'd be an exaggeration to claim that on a per capita basis Israel has the most powerful, best prepared and best equipped military on the planet.

The fact they call it a democracy is a bit of a farce too...only as long as they are the majority of the population can the exercise of democracy continue. There’s a reason Israel has been opposing the right of return for *********** refugees for so long. It’s a little hypocritical when their country is basically founded upon the idea of ***s “returning” to their homeland, yet they refuse to let people who fled war or were expelled from their homes return.
