[REAL TALK] Lewis Hamilton motorsports GOAT?

Lewis just clinched his 7th world title on formula 1.

His 6th in 7 years and 7th in 13 years in which he was twice 1 position away form the title.

He also now has the most race wins and pole positions.

While his Mercedes has been dominant he has to be considered up there with the best of all time now.

His drive to win in Turkey while lapping his teammate is testament to that. Just the complete package now.

As a Brit I’m unquestionably biased but I believe he’s the best driver that’s ever lived.

      7 champions, most wins

Question is how many more titles can he get?!

Happy for Lewis. I think he can win 3 more and get to 10.

Its so hard to compare with the days when F1 lost 3 drivers a year tho.

It's so amazingly safe now which is great but I do wonder what someone like Jim Clarke would have done had he not been killed.

But I now put Lewis up there with anyone.

Says he's just getting started too

When do the cars significantly change? Next season or the one after ?

              - -Huge race fan growing up, but in the 3rd millennium it's a decayed sport.

Could have self driven cars blow away the drivers as the last peg of onerous auto controlled traction and throttle, ect.

Jimmy Clarke, AJ, or Jackie Stewert would put him in his BigBoy trainers back in the day.

You have to give it to him. He's been outstanding.

Id love to see f1 go back to a stick shift with a clutch.

                  That's how I drive always.

Otherwise it's just push and steer.

Although my Mrs has a 7 speed with the paddles which is pretty cool.

Without question he is up there with all the greats. Mercedes has been on fire, but that is really irrelevant. I believe you take the greats from any era and put them all in the rides others have had and the results are likely similar. One of the things I like to look at is wet weather driving ability and he is right there with Schumacher and Senna. Hard to deny the guy his just due.
