Would a Ryan Garcia win be good or bad for boxing?

Ryan Garcia winning may or may not be good, no one knows, couldn't care less.

But Haney losing may be good. And I'll be curious to know who he would accept as come back fights. I'd like to see him against 2nd-3rd-tier fighters and work his way back again to the top, not get rewarded by Kamboso-level fights. A lot of established fighters nowadays even fear losing in a stay-busy fight, thus would rather wait around.

I think you know the answer to that question …so why even ask it
A Garcia win has no positive to it…and you know that

Your point would be valid....if Haney left 135 without fighting Loma. He also stepped out of his comfort zone to get the Kambosos fight.

Ryan Garcia is a glorified stay-busy fight. I think we would've all preferred if Haney jumped right into a unification with Matias. Haney doesn't have a fan-friendly style for stay-busys.

it would be good for boxing if this fight is called off and the idiot gets his act together. He has the potential to be a cash cow, meaning big purses from 140-147. Don't see him recover from a 12-0 defeat today.

He didn't bother making weight and cutting so his left hook and straight right will be fully functional. Haney will box and tie up.

          Save your money.

Hands are too fast for Haney to fight reckless looking for the knockout and that's even with the idiot half drunk which would make him even more unpredictable. .

Ryan Garcia is the anti-poon now. Before he became a ****y weirdo I'd say it would be better he won.

If he wins and then leans into being a bad boy of boxing it could be good for future business.

I don’t think he’ll win tonight or have any long term success. Hes good enough to beat some low level guys but top guys will get the better of him. Hes too basic and easy to figure out.

I am really old school boxing fan. I can`t see why is he a star. If chicks find him being sexy and handsome, fine, but that is not a boxing category. Not for me.
he isnt a star really, being popular on snapchat doesnt translate to PPV buys

Not based on personalities or even this fight in particular but I think it's good for a sport when occasionally the totally unexpected happens. I think it was good for boxing, overall, when the fat Mexican kid beat the crap out of the undefeated unbeatable machine. I think Rahman wiping that arrogant smirk off of Lewis's face was good.

Most fights are mismatches, it's good to see sometimes that anything is still possible.

Since he drew over 1 million buys in his PPV debut.
