I don't give a rat's a$$ about race. Way too many perfectly good reasons to like a fighter (or person) or dislike other than something as silly as the color of their skin. I don't think any promotional banner gives a rat's a$$ about it either (unless race involves money). Only racists and losers care about that.

I like Ford, he's from a city I lived in. And I predicted (and hoped) he would win. It was pretty obvious to me that ESPN was pro-Ford which was odd since he was Hearn's fighter.

I really struggle to understand why some people are defending the stoppage . You just don't stop a world championship fight with 7 seconds to go after a fighter gets hit once or twice, even if his back is half turned and he looks unsteady. You either let him go down or get hit more than once or twice. Come on, you know that if the one in that position was Ford and he was arguably winning the referee would have never stopped the fight.

I thought 8 count was the way to go but the ref is dealing with a split second decision with an opponent turning his back.

Either way, both fighters showed some serious resolve and provided us with entertainment. Great fight.
