Zhang looked good against Joyce but Joyce was tailor made for Zhang. Joyce's style is offence and zero defence. Zhang had the power to hurt him and Joyce had no way of getting out of the way of Zhang's punches. In the rematch instead of holding a tight guard and trying make Zhang work to tire him out Joyce decided to stay on the outside where Zhang could do whatever he wanted with his better speed. Joyce also dropped his left hand so Zhang had it even easier time landing every punch to the head.

Zhang was 1. bigger 2. faster 3. punching harder than Joyce.


Zhang did completely run out of steam against Hrgovic and we just watched Hrgovic go life and death with a guy from Australia that nobody has heard of. Zhang went life and death with Jerry Forrest.

When Zhang had all the advantages over Joyce we can't conclude he is now some monster that will do the same to guys who have reflexes or a defence.

Well, Zhang hits nearly as hard, probably has better chin, probably higher iq, probably better boxer.
But some think wilder wins, I'm sure a few think Zhang wins.

Zhang's defence isn't the best and he just beat a slow, plodding 38 yr old prospect. AJ has beaten better opponents. Wilder is a danger to AJ which is why AJ avoided him right after beating klitchko.
