If they are filing it and claiming damages due to death threats to employees, etc, they have no legal standing.

The employees would be the ones having to sue.

One has to show actual damages, not just false statements, in order to prevail.

I see this one being thrown out quickly.


And they need to be careful. When you file lawsuits to try and rub it in and/or silence people, it can really backfire. A good case in point is with that gamer guy Billy Mitchell.

He filed a frivolous lawsuit to try and silence his detractors, and in defending the suit one of the accused parties found alot of new evidence that made Mitchell look really bad. They then took that evidence and then countersued Mitchell for millions.

It's in the legal system as we speak, and most people looking at the case say Mitchell is toast when it goes to trial.


They should have just celebrated their guy winning and let it drop.

As I said, they are not citing any actual damages to themselves, so that's not good.

You have to be able to show damages to win, not just false statements.


For example; if someone made false statements saying that my cooking makes people sick, there's no actual damages done to me. Just some guy spewing nonsense.

But if I own a restaurant making $500k a year, and my sales drop by half after the statements, I can show $250k per year in actual damages.

I've not seen this company lose any contracts or anything of the like.
