Anyone been to Ethiopia?

When this virus bs is over thinking of doing a mini around the world trip for a few weeks. Anyway I've always liked the look of Ethiopia was wondering if anyone on here has been there?

Spent 5 weeks there, but it was 7 years ago. They have a different concept of time entirely, so 6am is their midnight, and I don't mean time difference. They also use a different calendar with 13 months and so the year is about 8 behind ours. No night buses, or there wasn't as everything starts after 6am, so you have to incorporate long day-journeys into your travelling plans.

Yes, amazing. It takes a lot of getting round and there is so much to see. If you do it independently things can take a while to set up, though that makes it more fun. Each part of the country is very different - jungle south, mountains north and desert east. I had two things I wanted to visit and the rest was a bonus, so plenty of surprises.

It has an amazing history - from human beginnings to the old testament to Rastafarianism. Coffee also originates from there.

The food is not the best, but if you're cool eating injera with your hands then all is good.

Lol! I’ll take my chances I’ve never had more than a bad bout of Delhi belly on any of my trips
