      Im cutting back on drinking. After a drinking bunge i get really bad anxiety

          True while its 100% chemical/biological also other things affect those chemicals, some more directly than others, like taking action in a courageous way etc

            Hope you are well alex bro, i cant meditate at all too much mind chatter its impossible for me to quieten the mind. Is that related to dopamine or life experience. I had a tough childhood and was adopted at a young age so my stress levels have always been higher then average especially during the developmental years. My resting heart rate is insane goes very quick i hate it. Never feel completely relaxed.

                Yea think of it as a long term thing its not going to happen on your 1st session, you wont be happy ull be bored as fcuk, maybe fall asleep. In your case ull probably get more stressed

                That will last a while so maybe play music etc as you do it anything to make it less boring, and so u can do it more and stick to it more easily, also things like music get you more out of your left brain as it is. (without being too* distracting )

                So yea just build that focus watch the second hand of teh clock as intently as u can and try to improve that ability to focus daily

                You wont be able to stop the mind yet, its a skill developed over the long term and changes have to happen in your brain like with building strength.

                At the start just focus on sticking to it often creating a habit of doing it as long as you do it everyday or often in a week and u stick to it, thats great youre on the way
