When I saw he was 50 I knew it was drugs.

I saw an interview with Dr Dubrow (reality show MD/plastic surgeon) where he was talking about the death of his brother (the singer of 80s band Quiet Riot) and he was saying 50 is really the magic number when it comes to your hearts decreased tolerance for mixing hard drugs. Even doing what you view as a "safe" or normal amount, mixing drugs together even in small doses can be fatal, and you're rolling the dice every time.
