    Recommend a good gaming computer!

I am looking for a decent gaming laptop or desktop to purchase as a christmas gift. I am willing to pay $1000. What are some good gaming laptops or desktops out there?

Are you going to be building it yourself, or are you looking at pre-built joint?

You got to look at various factors. GPU, CPU, Mobo, SSD, Ram, power supply....

For 1k, you are aren't going to get all the whiz-**** 4k 240 Ultra Omega raytracing settings.

You okay with 1080-1440p and 60-120, you can do it.

No building, I don't know enough to build one. I am looking for a complete set. I am looking at some gaming laptops on amazon but I dont know which one to get? I'm willing to spend around $1,000. This is for a gift and I want a system that will be fast enough to play the games without any lagging. Any recommendation?

You're probably going to have to do some research, bud.

If you can find something with GPU power along the lines of a PS5/Series X, decent ram and SSD, you're probably on the right track.

what do you think about this one? I dont know much about computers. I want something that has enough memory or whatever it takes to avoid lagging when playing games, etc.

I'm not an expert, but that looks like a decent find. 3050 was something I was going to suggest.

                  No.

For his price point, something with the power of the XSX I think is decent.

Doesn't seem he is looking at 4090's, my guy.

He doesn't have to look at a 4000 series MY GUY. PS GPU's are like 1080 level dogwank which is 6 years old an 4+ years outdated. PS tech is quite a bit behind XB anyway with 2.2ghz range and the heat kills tflop performance.

RAM and SSD has little to do with a good rig. It's all about CPU & GPU andf 1k is going to get him an extremely bottom of the line rig.
