Exactly, i agree with you 100%. But thats why I asked. you know your going to get hit. so why don't just go in not worried about a game plan.

a game plan doesnt have to be specific. a game plan is like this...

-dont get caught with his left hook. he loves throwing it

      -stick and move

-dig to the body as much as possible. he is weak in the gut

thats a game plan that just sticks in the back of your head with points to remember. its not supposed to be directions like "step in, jab, step out, jab, step to the left, duck, throw a combo"

I think a better way is to loosen a guy up, not throw anything hard for 2 or 3 rounds. Then go Foreman on the guy.

If you throw big hands in the first round and not catch the guy he will show you too much respect and it will be a long boxing match.

dont go wild but theres nothing wrong with 'throwing every punch with bad intentions'

so if your fighting a power guy(very slow)...... for the first few rounds would you let him try and hit you... playing cat and mouse.. and when he gets tired.. thats when you go and combo him? or would you go at the same pace or go all out... saying that you are have power and speed.. but not much power as him.. what would you do??

You might want to concentrate on the fights you have coming up, instead of worrying about something that is YEARS down the line for you.

IF you go pro without having any amateur fights, you'll need to fight 4rounders for a long time, to get used to fighting, and to gradually build your stamina up. So going hard 3-4 rounds? Yeah, a good idea, since you won't be fighting more rounds than that, at least for a while.

Looking for a knock out is always a mistake. Fight your fight and let the knock-out come. Kind of like baseball. Don't swing for the fences at every pitch, wait for a pitch you can jump on.

I do not box, but I take part in full contact karate tournaments and have a hell of a finishing move. It is a spinning back kick to the gut. No one has ever got up from being hit by it. But I do not go into a match throwing alot. I do my techniques and let the opportunity to not only throw it but land come on it's own.

That is how you should treat your knock out power. Let the knock outs come on their own.
